Job summary

Protech Group is seeking a Production Operator to join a team that produces powder-coating products in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. You will measure ingredients, log data, operate mixers and other equipment, and help maintain equipment and work areas.

Required are a high school diploma and strong English skills; experience in chemical or paint compounding is a plus. Benefits include vacation, insurance, and a 401K plan.

• Willingness to cooperate, share responsibilities, and execute directions.
• Able to plan and organize multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Previous chemical or paint compounding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Measure and weigh ingredients as required to meet formulation and compliance regulations.
• Maintain an understanding of weight and volume tolerances, perform simple math including metric conversions.
• Operate mixers, extruders, grinders and other field equipment including scales, pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Utilize appropriate forms to prepare and measure the required ingredients, log manufacturing data and record processing results.
• Assist with the maintenance and cleaning of equipment and work areas.
• Abide by the Protech Group’s safety regulations and work procedures and timely report safety and procedural concerns to your shift leader.
