Job summary

Valeo in Smyrna, Tennessee is hiring a Production Operator to join a global automotive supplier. You will support safety standards, perform first-level maintenance, and help maintain 5S in the production area.

You will monitor quality, stop work if deviations occur, participate in VPS workshops, ensure cleanliness, and communicate shortages to the team lead. Valeo offers a multicultural environment with opportunities for career growth.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety standards are respected on all workstations.
• Perform first level maintenance and first piece inspection at shift start.
• Maintain 5S standards in the production area.
• Identify deviations in safety, quality or efficiency and stop work when needed.
• Participate in VPS continuous improvement workshops.
• Keep workstations clean and safe.
• Notify team lead of any supplies shortages.
• Contribute to continuous improvement through the VPS program.

• Responsible for understanding and ensuring safety standards are respected
• Conduct first level of maintenance (PM's) and first piece inspection at the start of shift (if applicable)
• Maintain 5S standards
• Detect problems (deviations from standards) in safety, quality, and efficiently
• In case a problem is detected, stop and apply the appropriate reactivity procedure
• Actively participate the improvements proposal program
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of each workstation
• Communicate any supplies shortage to the team lead at the beginning, during, and after shift
• Involvement in continuous improvement through participation in VPS workshops

Experience
