Job summary

Magna Seating, Shelby Foam Systems division, manufactures foam seat cushions, backs, armrests and head rests used in the automotive industry. The facility runs three shifts and pays weekly; employees must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week and stand throughout the shift.

• No experience required; will be trained.
• Bending, stooping, crouching and reaching to access components.
• Regularly moves about to coordinate work on the plant floor.
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs, and push/pull up to 20 lbs.
• Constant standing; overtime may be required.
• Skills test required.

Responsibilities

• SPRAY: Prepare molds so foam does not stick to the mold
• INSERT: Insert components in molds depending on part specification
• DEMOLD/CLEAN: Foam is formed, part is removed from the mold, mold is cleaned
• TRIMMERS: Examine part and trim any excess foam from the part to determine necessary repairs
• INSPECTION/GLUE: Complete inspection of part
• REPAIR: Repair parts from inspection deemed necessary; second inspection is completed
• PACKOUT/BOX: Boxes are built, parts are sorted, counted, packed, labeled and scanned for shipment

Job Responsibilities

Shelby Foam Systems – a division of Magna Seating – manufactures foam seat cushions, backs, armrests and head rests used in the automotive industry. Shelby Foam Systems operates on three shifts. Employees must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week and some weekends as required by customer production schedules. All jobs are done while standing.

Schedule

• Monday through Saturday
• 1st Shift: 7a‑3:30p, 2nd Shift 3p‑11:30p, 3rd Shift 11p‑7:30a
• Overtime (willing to work)
