Magna Seating is seeking an engineer to support design and manufacturing of fixtures, machines, and tools. The role emphasizes safety, ergonomics, and regulatory compliance across plant operations.

The candidate will review machinery plans, assist in FMEA, and help uphold ISO 14001 and other environmental standards while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Formación

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency with common software tools (word processors, spreadsheets, databases).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide engineering support for designing and manufacturing fixtures, machines, and tools with emphasis on safety and ergonomics.
• Review plans and specifications for new machinery to ensure all safety precautions are included.
• Assist in preparing Failure Mode and Effects Analysis reports and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Support ergonomics programs and health and safety initiatives to prevent unsafe conditions.
• Conduct plant surveys to assess exposure to hazards (noise, dust, fumes, radiation).
• Ensure compliance with Quality, Environmental, and Material Management systems including ISO 14001.

Job Responsibilities

The ideal candidate should possess an undergraduate degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, with strong analytical skills and proficiency in computer software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and AutoCAD.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Providing engineering support for designing and manufacturing fixtures, machines, and tools, ensuring ergonomic and safety standards.
• Examines plans and specifications for new machinery and equipment to ascertain if all safety precautions have been included.
• Assists in preparing Failure Mode Affects Analysis Reports. Facilitates compliance with all OSHA regulations relating to the plant.
• Assisting in ergonomics programs and plant health and safety initiatives to prevent unsafe working conditions.
• Conducting plant surveys to assess exposure to hazards like noise, dust, fumes, and radiation.
• Ensuring compliance with Quality, Environmental, and Material Management systems, including ISO 14001 standards.
• Promoting a safety-conscious attitude, reporting unsafe conditions or incidents, and adhering to all health, safety, and environmental policies per company and legal standards.
