Job description

Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Production Operator to join their team. As a Production Operator, you will be part of the production department supporting a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent teamwork skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Production Operator

Location: Akron, NY

Pay Range: $16.50 per hour plus $.50 shift differential

Shift: 1pm-9:30pm

What's the Job?

  • Operate various types of machinery and equipment used in the gum making process while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Conduct quality control inspections during and after the manufacturing process to ensure product standards are met.
  • Monitor the production process, troubleshoot equipment issues, and coordinate with maintenance personnel as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in production areas to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth production flow.

What's Needed?

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food or confectionery industry, is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and regulations in a manufacturing setting.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.
