Carpenter Technology Corporation is seeking a level-1 technician to support material movement and equipment operation on the shop floor in McBee, SC. Responsibilities include receiving work orders, moving materials with forklifts and cranes, and ensuring correct lots are used for each job.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to procedures, and basic inspection duties with on-the-job training in annealing and shot blast areas.

Formación

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to operate forklifts and material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, overhead crane, pallet jacks) as required.

Responsabilidades

• Reads job specifications (work orders) and/or consults with previous shift operators to determine machine adjustments and material requirements for jobs that will be run.
• Using forklift, overhead crane, pallet jacks, etc., moves material from staging areas to/from manufacturing areas including the pickle lines, shot blast, annealing furnaces, and shipping.
• Checks lot #/heat # against work order to insure that correct material is being moved and placed in or delivered to the proper area.
• Bands, wires, removes/replaces identification tags as appropriate.
• Learns inspection procedures, processes, techniques, and equipment and utilizes this knowledge as appropriate and when assigned inspection duties.
• Assists level 2 and 3 technicians as required and as a part of the training process. At level 1, training occurs primarily in the annealing and shot blast areas.
• Performs housekeeping duties as an assigned function of level -1 technician including removing scrap material.

Other duties may be assigned, including but not limited to housekeeping, cross training and operator level maintenance in support of equipment operation. Responsibilities also include attention to safety according to specific training and safety rules.
