Job summary

Silk Road Technologies Canada is seeking a manufacturing associate to support welding, stamping, and related packaging tasks. You will follow defined production procedures, maintain 5S standards, and ensure quality and safety across shifts.

The role requires strong technical ability, clear communication, and the capacity to handle multiple tasks. Candidates should be prepared to work overtime and participate in continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and related experience or training.
• Proven technical ability with stamping or welding processes.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and speech.
• Capable of handling multiple tasks concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Follow welding and stamping procedures and quality requirements.
• Adhere to 5S standards at all times and maintain a clean, safe workplace.
• Complete production inspection forms and identify non-conforming parts.
• Escalate quality concerns and observe machines for issues.
• Prepare line set-ups for shifts and perform first piece buyoffs.
• Label bins, ensure safety and productivity for assigned tasks.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities and perform other duties as needed.

The following job/task functions have been identified as the core functions of this position.However, the supervisor or manager may assign additional duties associated with this position.

Work to ensure resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet delivery requirements while achieving quality and safety standards

Fo llow defined welding, stamping and repack procedures and comply with quality requirements.

Ensure full adherence to 5S Standards at all times

Ensure all production inspection forms are completed appropriately

Ensure that non-conforming parts are clearly identified and isolated

Ensure that the escalation procedure for quality concerns are followed

Observes machines to detect errors or malfunctions and orders corrective actions

Prepare line set-ups for following shifts, including first piece buyoffs

Activate labels for bin location and quantities.

Ensure the safety and productivity of all employees assigned to designated tasks

Enforce all safety and quality processing procedures

Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with company policies

Keeps work areas clean and orderly.

Participates in continuous improvement activities.

• Able and willing to work any shift assigned, weekends and overtime

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Required Experience

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
