Job summary

Moog in Johnson City, TN is seeking a Production Operator to perform manufacturing tasks with precision and adherence to engineering drawings and work instructions.

You will inspect, test, document, and troubleshoot to ensure product quality, while supporting training and continuous improvement initiatives in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred but not required.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal, written, and computer-based work instructions in English.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to precision and quality workmanship.
• Ability to adhere to established processes and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Perform inspections and tests to verify product quality and functionality.
• Review completed work for compliance with drawings and quality requirements.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate manufacturing and quality documentation per procedures.
• Access electronic documentation to ensure work uses current revisions.
• Support training and cross-training initiatives to enhance team capabilities.
• Demonstrate leadership and teamwork toward operational excellence.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to support safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Follow written instructions and established processes with high accuracy.
• Perform precision soldering based on blueprints and use microscopes.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and quality.

Job Title : Production Operator

Reporting To: Manager, Production

Work Schedule: Onsite - Johnson City, TN

To be considered for a Production Operator role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

As a Production Operator, you will:

• Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Perform inspections and testing procedures to verify product quality and functionality.
• Review and verify completed work to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, production plans, and quality requirements.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate manufacturing and quality documentation in accordance with established procedures.
• Access and review electronic documentation to ensure work is completed using current revisions.
• Support training and cross-training initiatives to enhance team capabilities.
• Demonstrate leadership, teamwork, and a commitment to operational excellence.

• Perform precision soldering based on blueprints and utilize microscopes.

Salary Range Transparency:

Johnson City, TN $16.00-$20.00 Hourly
