Production Operator
Location: Houston, TX
Shift: Monday thru Friday; 7am - 3:30pm
Pay Rate: $17/hr

About the Role
This position is responsible for a variety of manufacturing functions including, but not limited to, mixing and packaging final product into various containers, preparing various containers for the packaging operations, and assembling and pressure testing various final products.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Follows documented procedures to manufacture finished products, including mixing greases in industrial mixers, prep and fill various containers with final product, assemble and test equipment and fittings. Operates equipment in work areas used to safely assemble, mix, and fill containers with final product.
• Moves finished goods, containers, and supplies within the plant to support plant
operations using a manual pallet jack and/or forklift.
• Completes all paperwork associated with manufacturing, safety and quality.
• Perform routine maintenance on production equipment to ensure operational
reliability.
• Participates in Company safety program; completes appropriate safety training;
demonstrates commitment to and support of EH&S principles and values; champions safety as necessary.
• Responds rapidly and appropriately to emergencies following safety guidelines and procedures; uses equipment, chemicals and procedures appropriate to the situation to mitigate damages.
• Understands and ensures all work performed meets federal, state/provincial and local safety requirements as well as Company safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Abides by all safety procedures and practices applicable to the operations at the plant.
• Participates in and completes all assigned training programs.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment and manufacturing areas as required.

Qualifications
Education
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk (sometimes over long distances and carrying product/tools weighing up to 25 pounds), stand, sit, write, speak, and hear. The employee is required, for extended periods of time, to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; the employee will be required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch; must be able to twist around repeatedly. The employee will
lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds including overhead; must be able to carry up to 25 pounds over longer distances up to 10 yards/30 feet.

Work Conditions
This position requires an employee to be exposed to inside and, on occasion, outside elements.
Most extreme elements are heat in the summer months of up to 104°F (40°C) and some exposure to cold of generally no less than -4°F (-20°C) in the winter months. There will be exposure to various chemicals and compounds, including fumes and smells. Employees must be able to wear PPE required by the location. Loud sounds and vibrations could be experienced at times. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. All environments are safe
with appropriate PPE.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $17.00 - $17.00 Per Hour
