embecta is hiring a Production Operator for the 12-hour night shift at our Holdrege, Nebraska manufacturing facility. You’ll be part of a 24/7 operation that builds insulin syringes, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

The role involves PPE, shift routines, machine setup, product inspections, and document control within a highly regulated medical devices environment. We offer competitive pay, health benefits, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience working with or fixing manufacturing equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail in reading and completing product quality checks and documentation.
• Comfortable using computers and basic software like Microsoft Office.
• Good communication skills and a team-first attitude.
• Reliable, organized, and ready to learn.
• An innate focus on safety, naturally integrating safety considerations into daily work and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Gown up with the required PPE and safety shoes.
• Start your shift by checking in with your team and reviewing the day’s goals.
• Set up and operate the relevant machines and equipment to mold, assemble and package insulin syringes.
• Inspect products and perform in-process checks to ensure quality and regulatory standards.
• Complete inspection and quality documentation as part of the process in a highly regulated facility.
• Move raw material supplies and finished products to necessary locations in the facility.
• Continuously monitor equipment for output and issues and help problem-solve quickly.
• Work as part of a highly engaged team to keep operations running smoothly and safely.

The Holdrege manufacturing facility runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, producing 2.3 billion medical devices annually. Our team includes approximately 450 people across our operation on both day and night shifts.

What Does a Production Operator Do?

As a Production Operator, you’ll be at the heart of our manufacturing process. Here’s what your typical day might look like:

• Gown up with the required PPE (personal protective equipment) and safety shoes.

• Start your shift by checking in with your team and reviewing the day’s goals.

• Depending on whether you work in Molding, Assembly, Packaging or Warehouse, you will set up andoperatethe relevantmachinesand equipmentthatmold, assemble and packageourinsulin syringes.

• Regularly throughout your shift, you will inspect the products and perform in-process checks to ensure products meet ourhighqualitystandardsand regulatoryrequirements.

• Completing inspectionand quality documentationis the norm in a highly regulated medical devices facility and willbe a criticalpart of your role

• At times, you will moverawmaterial suppliesand finished products tothe necessary locations in the facility.

• You will continuallymonitorthe equipmentfor output and issues and help problem-solve efficiently and quickly should something go wrong.

• You will work as part of a highly engaged teamto keep everything running smoothly and safely, with safety being your highestpriority.

Paperwork Matters
