Job summary

Welch's in Grandview (WA) manufacturing facility is hiring for a hands-on production operator. You will operate and monitor production equipment, move materials, and help the team meet safety, quality, and production goals in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.

Starting hourly pay is $24.09 per hour. You should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work various shifts indoors/outdoors, and have a high school diploma plus mechanical aptitude with a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude and an interest in learning how production equipment works.
• A strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
• A two-year degree or technical training certificate, along with at least one year of food or beverage manufacturing experience, is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Check line setups and product quality; flag equipment issues when maintenance is needed.
• Move, organize, and stage ingredients, supplies, work in process, and finished goods.
• Complete production records documenting safety, quality, and output.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas to meet food safety standards.
• Work with your team to meet production schedules and identify opportunities to improve how the work gets done.

• You take safety seriously, pay attention to detail, and are comfortable working around manufacturing equipment.
• You can lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, work at elevated levels, and wear required protective equipment.
• You're comfortable working indoors and outdoors, in hot and cold conditions, and around cleaning solutions.
