Job Purpose

Performs a variety of tasks requiring knowledge of production processes in support of production workers and is responsible for day-to-day operations associated with the production lines.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Adheres to company policies and maintains a professional, positive attitude at all times.
• Tends to equipment to facilitate processes.
• Regulates flow of liquids or air, starts pumps, and adjusts equipment by turning valves.
• Starts machines or equipment to begin the process.
• Meets and maintains company efficiency standards and expectations.
• Marks or tags identification on parts.
• Measures finished products, components, or assemblies for functioning, operation, or accuracy to verify adherence to specifications.
• Inspects materials, products, and work in progress for conformance to standards, and adjusts processes or equipment as needed.
• Reads dials and meters to ensure equipment operates correctly.
• Rejects products, materials, or equipment not meeting standards.
• Interprets work orders and inspection manuals to determine procedures.
• Installs and positions change-over parts, components, and instruments.
• Monitors quality control on packaging lines.
• Ensures containers are clean, lids are tightened, and markings are correct.
• Follows proper pallet stacking patterns.
• Assists with counts, labeling, and marking containers.
• Helps manage inventory damage during filling.
• Performs equipment cleaning and lubrication.
• Works overtime as needed.
• Follows strict safety rules.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
