Job summary

Activar Inc. is seeking a manufacturing operator to support high-quality production. You will run machines, verify orders, and ensure material flow while maintaining a safe and organized workspace.

Qualifications

  • Two+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Able to read blueprints, schematics, and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Strong arithmetic skills including decimals, percentages, fractions, and ratios.

Responsibilities

  • Operate machines to ensure production quality.
  • Review daily manufacturing functions and job orders to verify requirements.
  • Obtain materials and tools needed to meet run rates.
  • Ensure safe operation of equipment.
  • Suggest improvements to methods, equipment, and product quality.
  • Report safety, equipment, tooling, or quality issues to supervisor.
  • Maintain knowledge of all processes and keep work area clean and organized.
  • Conduct yourself professionally according to company guidelines.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • - Operate machines to ensure the highest quality of production is achieved.
  • - Review daily manufacturing functions and job orders to ensure awareness of requirements.
  • - Obtain necessary materials and tools required to achieve expected run rates.
  • - Ensure the safe operation of equipment.
  • - Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • - Report immediately to supervisor/lead/manager any and all problems, which may affect safety, equipment, tooling, and/or quality.
  • - Maintain full working knowledge of all processes.
  • - Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
  • - Conduct himself/herself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines.
  • - Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • - Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • - Tenacity in overcoming obstacles while maintaining productive and positive working relationships.
  • - Ability to execute in a rapidly changing fast paced environment that requires strong team work.
  • - Understanding of all tools, gages, equipment, and other various instruments used to perform position.
  • - Basic ability to understand blue prints, schematics, and instrumentation diagrams.
  • - Skill in performing accurate arithmetic functions involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; using decimals, percentages, fractions, and ratios.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Preferred:
  • - Two plus years of experience in a relevant manufacturing setting.
  • - Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification.
