Job summary

Schneider Electric in Cedar Rapids, IA is hiring a Production Operator to set up, operate, and monitor equipment for powdered metal contacts.

You will follow work instructions, perform changeovers, and use SAP to complete orders while maintaining 5S and accurate records. This hands-on role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment. Starting wage is $31.23/hour with eligible overtime and comprehensive benefits.

Join our production team as a Production Operator and play a key role in delivering quality products every day. This is a hands‑on opportunity where your attention to detail and teamwork will make a real impact in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

What will you do?

Set up, operate, and monitor production equipment used in the manufacturing of powdered metal contacts.

• Follow work instructions and operate mixing equipment
• Setup production furnaces to run at specific settings
• Monitor press equipment and perform adjustments as needed to maintain quality
• Perform first piece inspection using gauges and operate SPC software
• Perform changeovers on various equipment
• Use SAP software to complete order transactions
• Maintain production records and documentation
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment (5S)

What qualifications will make you successful?

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $31.23 - $31.87 per hour. In addition, this position is eligible for overtime pay and may also include premium pay or differentials, depending on location.
