Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Manufacturing Production Worker to join our Cedar Rapids production team. This hands-on role operates welding, processing and assembly equipment, reads instructions and part prints, performs set-ups and changeovers, and helps maintain quality in a fast-paced facility.

The position offers a starting wage of $29.45/hour with a $2 shift differential, third shift 11:00pm–7:00am, and a robust benefits package including 401k with company match, PTO, holidays, and

Qualifications

  • Perform basic computer tasks related to job functions.
  • Handle small parts with precision and care.
  • Work 8 hours standing or sitting at a workstation.
  • Collaborate in a team to meet production goals.
  • Maintain safe practices in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Operate welding, processing, and assembly equipment in the weld cell.
  • Read and follow written instructions and understand part prints.
  • Set up and changeovers on welders; monitor performance for quality.
  • Inspect with gauges and use SPC software for quality control.
  • Complete order transactions in SAP; maintain 5S workspace.

Job description

Join our production team as a Manufacturing Production Worker and play a key role in delivering quality products every day. This is a hands-on opportunity where your attention to detail and teamwork will make a real impact in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What will you do?

Operate the welding, processing, and assembly equipment in the weld cell

  • Read and follow written instructions
  • Read and understand a part print
  • Perform equipment set up and changeovers on all welders
  • Monitor equipment performance and perform adjustments as needed to maintain quality
  • Perform quality inspection using gauges and operate SPC software
  • Use SAP software to complete order transactions
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment (5S)
What qualifications will make you successful?
  • Ability to read and understand written materials
  • Basic computer skills
  • Dexterity to assemble small parts
  • Ability to either stand or sit for 8 hours at a workstation
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment
  • Ability to work safely in manufacturing environment
  • High School Diploma or GED required

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD $29.45 - $30.24 per hour. In addition, this position is eligible for overtime pay and may also include premium pay or differentials, depending on location.
