Job summary

FIL-TEC INC. is seeking a Production Team Member to operate and maintain multiple machines in a process production environment, winding, inspecting, labeling, boxing, and transferring product. You will keep the area clean, perform quality checks, and participate in maintenance as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and mechanical aptitude. You will work with teammates across shifts and report on production metrics.

Responsibilities

• Wind, inspect and label product; box and seal cartons.
• Check winding schedule and communicate with shifts.
• Perform quality checks as per work instructions.
• Make machine adjustments to ensure quality.
• Clean machines and area; perform preventative maintenance.
• Fill out production and waste reports; handle scrap as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments and attend scheduled meetings.

Production team member to work in a process production environment operating and maintaining multiple machines at one time.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESInclude, but not limited to, the following:Check winding schedule.Communicate with off going shift as to special instructions or pertinent information.Bring material to the winding area if required.Make appropriate product labels.Verify in-coming material if needed.Wind, inspect and label product.Box product and seal cartons. Label cartons, transfer to pallet to go to warehouse.Perform quality checks as per work instructions.Make appropriate machine adjustments as needed to wind quality product.Make machine adjustments to set up new product as needed.Clean machines and area.Put lube in winder as needed.Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled.Make boxes.Take out trash to trash dumpster.Fill out production report and internal waste report.Cut remaining scrap from spools, place scrap in waste container, put empty spool on pallet.Perform other functions as needed.Communicate with shift coming in at shift change.Attend meetings as scheduled.Assist others in the department as time permits.If no work is available in winding department, help in other departments.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
