Tamarack Foods in Georgia is seeking a full-time Production Operator to support the manufacturing line. You will cut whole muscle proteins, run equipment, and assemble finished products for packaging into bags, totes, or boxes.

Responsibilities

• Remove excess fat, bones, cartilage from product.
• Report unusual noises from machinery.
• Inspect product quality and remove defects during cooking.
• Break up product clusters as required.
• Watch for problems on the line.
• Wash machinery for protein changes.
• Record lot numbers and best by dates.
• Remove boxes and palletize for shipping.
• Label boxes by product and lot number.
• Be familiar with equipment and report noises.
• Ensure finished product quality and monitor for foreign materials.
• Keep work area clean.
• Follow GMP and SOPs.

Job Summary

Our Production Operator will assist with various tasks within our manufacturing process. Our operators are responsible for: cutting various whole muscle proteins into finish product sizes, running various equipment (shakers, tumblers, mixers, etc.) pulling pieces of cooked product apart if they are stuck together and remove inferior pieces. They are also responsible for packaging finished product into bags, bulk totes or boxes. and running various packaging equipment.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Removing any excess fat, bones, cartilage from product.
• Report any unusual noises coming from the machinery.
• Inspecting product for quality by removing defects from line during cooking.
• Break up product clusters as required.
• Watch for any changes that may indicate that there is a problem on the line.
• Help wash machinery when needed to do a species/protein change.
• Responsible for recording various components (lot numbers, best by date, etc).
• Remove boxes from line and place into outer cases when needed and stack onto pallet for shipping.
• Label boxes correctly by the product and lot number.
• Become familiar with equipment and be able to report any unusual noises coming from the machinery.
• Responsible for the quality of the finished product and is expected to watch for foreign material or contamination.
• Keep work area clean.
• Know and follow all Good Manufacturing Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.
