Production Operative
Sandy
Salary: Starting at £32,536 increasing annually + Benefits
Shifts: 48 hour week - Monday to Thursday - 6am until 6pm, potential to move to a 24/5 shift pattern including shift allowance

We’re currently looking for a hard-working and enthusiastic Production Operative to join us at our site in Sandy. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to grow and develop your skills whilst beginning your future in our Marshalls family.

So, what's the role about?

You'll mainly work within the Concrete Block Paving department, operating press machinery, hand-powered tools, shot blast machinery, and mobile plant such as forklift trucks to move stock around the site. You’ll learn all about manufacturing techniques, processes, safety, quality waste, and OEE too.

Working as part of a skilled team to manufacture high-quality concrete products using the best technology and techniques, you’ll prioritize health and safety in all that you do!

Don’t worry if you’ve not worked in our industry before; we can teach you everything there is to know about manufacturing. All we ask is that you have a positive ‘can do’ outlook, are a good communicator, and have the willingness to learn!

What are the mission-critical skills?
  • Experience working in a busy production/manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential
  • Forklift truck license and experience would be advantageous
  • Good team spirit
  • Flexibility on shift rotation or night shift experience will be required
  • Basic computer skills
  • Safe to Supervise or IOSH qualification would be advantageous but not essential
