Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Production/Operations Manager to lead day-to-day field operations for commercial roofing across Southern California. You will drive production scheduling, safety, and project execution to ensure profitable outcomes.

The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of low-slope and steep-slope roofing, HOA/multifamily projects, and a track record of coordinating multiple crews and crews effectively.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in commercial roofing production, operations management, or senior field supervision.
• Strong knowledge of low-slope roofing systems (TPO, PVC, modified bitumen, BUR, coatings).
• Experience with steep-slope roofing (asphalt shingles, tile).
• Experience managing commercial, HOA, multifamily, or occupied-property re-roofing projects.
• Proven ability to oversee multiple crews, subcontractors, and active projects.
• Understanding of roofing installation methods, project sequencing, estimating, and material requirements.
• Ability to read/interpret construction drawings, specs, and manufacturer requirements.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• English proficiency; Spanish preferred.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily roofing production operations across Orange County and Southern California markets.
• Manage project scheduling, crew assignments, labor allocation, and production timelines.
• Serve as the primary contact for foremen, field supervisors, subcontractors, and crews.
• Conduct preconstruction site walks, site inspections, and quality control checks.
• Oversee material procurement, deliveries, equipment allocation, and subcontractor coordination.
• Ensure projects stay on schedule and budget, meeting manufacturer specs.
• Support estimating with scope reviews, takeoffs, and field verification.
• Monitor labor productivity, costs, profitability, and overall efficiency.
• Coordinate with property managers, HOA reps, and internal leadership.

Job Details

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily roofing production operations across Orange County and surrounding Southern California markets.
• Manage project scheduling, crew assignments, labor allocation, and production timelines.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for roofing foremen, field supervisors, subcontractors, and installation crews.
• Conduct preconstruction site walks, jobsite inspections, and quality control assessments.
• Oversee material procurement, deliveries, equipment allocation, and subcontractor coordination.
• Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Support estimating teams with scope reviews, takeoffs, and field verification.
• Monitor labor productivity, material costs, job profitability, and overall operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with property managers, HOA representatives, and internal leadership throughout project execution.
• Enforce OSHA standards, company safety procedures, and roofing industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in commercial roofing production, operations management, or senior field supervision.
• Strong technical knowledge of low-slope roofing systems, including TPO, PVC, modified bitumen, built-up roofing, and coatings.
• Experience with steep-slope roofing systems, including asphalt shingles and tile.
• Previous experience managing commercial, HOA, multifamily, or occupied-property re-roofing projects.
• Proven ability to oversee multiple crews, subcontractors, and active roofing projects.
• Strong understanding of roofing installation methods, project sequencing, estimating, and material requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and manufacturer installation requirements.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Comfortable using Google Sheets, Google Docs, and project management software.
• Experience with ServiceTitan is a plus.
• English proficiency required; Spanish communication skills strongly preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to safely access roofs, climb ladders, and conduct field inspections.
