Job summary

City Thrift Nashville is seeking a Production Manager to coordinate operations in the store's production room, including capital, inventory, financial, production, equipment and personnel resources.

You will lead production line activities, monitor productivity data, implement safety measures, train supervisors and staff, and maintain plant facilities and equipment. The role requires strong leadership, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and travel up to 25% for site coverage.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of experience managing Production and/or Processing lines.
• Experience in Inventory Control.
• Proficiency in organizational skills and time management.
• Strong knowledge of safety, environmental, health and fire & life safety practices (OSHA, DOT, and related agencies).
• Ability to communicate effectively to a diverse group of people.
• Ability to oversee work of others and work independently.
• Excellent oral and written communication and training delivery skills.
• Ability to exercise good judgment, work under pressure and plan, prioritize and schedule remote resources.
• Flexibility to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Prepare departmental costs and variances related to productivity, planning, labor, scheduling, materials, and inventory.
• Organize and facilitate production line activities to meet quality, safety, and cost requirements.
• Monitor productivity data and develop corrective actions to improve annual productivity.
• Implement safety measures and lead safety meetings with Supervisors to ensure compliance.
• Train management, supervisors, and new production hires.
• Maintain plant facilities and equipment; arrange replacements or adjustments as needed.
