Job summary

Allegheny Surface Technology is seeking a Production Manager to lead a growing, multi-shift operation and drive operational excellence on the floor. You will coach supervisors, develop teams, and translate ideas into practical improvements that scale with our expanded capacity.

In this role you will partner with Safety, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, HR, and Sales to optimize safety, quality, and delivery while building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across all shifts in

Qualifications

• Five or more years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience implementing operational excellence and continuous-improvement projects.
• Experience supporting production growth and shifts expansion.
• Ability to coach supervisors and build teams.
• Knowledge of standard work, metrics, and problem-solving.
• Understanding of production planning, safety, quality, and workflow.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent leadership experience considered.
• Lean, Six Sigma or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities across a multi-shift operation.
• Ensure goals are met safely, efficiently, and with quality and on-time delivery.
• Establish priorities and communicate across shifts.
• Monitor staffing, workflow, equipment, material needs, and performance.
• Maintain floor presence and build positive relationships across shifts.
• Address operational concerns and implement lasting solutions.
• Collaborate with Safety, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, HR, and Sales.
• Develop scalable processes to support growth.
• Introduce standard work, visual management, daily accountability, root-cause analysis, and performance tracking.
• Improve shift handoffs for 24/7 operations.
• Lead improvement efforts with measurable results.
• Establish performance measures for safety, quality, delivery, productivity, downtime, and development.
• Encourage ideas from all levels and drive execution.
• Ensure expanded capacity translates to reliable production.
