Job summary

Vorteq Coil Finishers, LLC is hiring a warehouse associate for the 3rd shift at our Franklin Park facility. You will move bare coils to the paint line, inspect for defects, label materials, and help maintain inventory while preparing shipments in line with customer specs and schedules.

The position requires 1–3 years in warehousing, ability to stand/walk and lift up to 50 lbs, and a willingness to work flexible hours including overtime and weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (preferred)

Job description

Overview

Vorteq's Operations Support staff is a vital part to the overall operations to the plant - assisting with and assigned to work in various areas of the plant, including; coating lines, slitting, material handling, and packaging. We have positions available on our 3rd shift team.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves and transport bare coils to paint line safely without damaging material or equipment
• Inspects coils and identifies and reports any defects
• Identify and label materials, and record their locations in the warehouse to maintain inventory
• Reads and interprets production schedule
• Prepare finished coils for shipment by identifying location to pull, trim, package and band according to customer specs using proper skids, bands, pads, and wrapping material
• Comply with all safety rules and guidelines

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics; experience operating material handling equipment preferred
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and lift heavy materials up to & over 50lbs
• Function successfully in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
• Contribute to team efforts by communicating and working well with others
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends
• Must have VALID drivers license and RELIABLE transportation
• Bilingual preferred
• Sit-down forklift experience preferred, not required
