Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Data Scientist to deploy, fine-tune, and monitor production ML models in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment near Tyson Corner. The role requires experience with data extraction, ETL, data mapping, analytics, and maintaining data systems, plus the ability to work across teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities include building and custody of production ML models across NLP, object recognition, and audio processing;

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of data science/statistical experience with a minimum of two years in software or data engineering.
• Bachelor’s or Technology degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
• Excellent organizational and team-building skills.
• Location: At Customer Site near Tyson Corner (McLean, VA).

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain production ML models across tasks including NLP, audio processing, and object recognition.
• Optimize ML services to leverage GPU capabilities and roadmap future GPU requirements.
• Deploy models against streaming data for near-real-time analytics.
• Improve data architectures with data engineers to support continuous training.
• Provide ETL, data mapping, analytics, operations, and data maintenance support.
