Job Title: Production Mig Welder – 1st shiftDepartment: Welding
Reports to: Shift Supervisor
Position Summary:- Fitting parts together, tacking them in place, and performing finish welding.
- Follow instructions.
- Discern quality of parts and materials used in production.
- Follow company procedures and directives.
- Communicate well with team members and leadership.
- Wear and maintain all required PPE in good condition.
- Ability and willingness to do other jobs when shorthanded.
- Safely operate and maneuver JIB and overhead crane.
- Keep track of products produced each shift and provide accurate counts.
Essential Functions:- Clock onto job in computer reporting system.
- Retrieve parts necessary to perform job and assemble them into the fixture.
- Perform tack welds to hold parts in place.
- Remove from fixture.
- Perform all unfinished welds as specified on drawing.
- Inspect part and workmanship.
- Meet or surpass production standard goals daily.
Technical/Function Specific:- Must be an accomplished welder and pass a weld test.
- Must be able to read blueprints.
- Must be able to take verbal and written instructions/directions.
- Good communication skills.
- Commitment to safety.
- Basic computer knowledge to claim jobs in Epicor.
- Quick learner with problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated team player.
- Pride in work and attention to detail.
- Good attendance.
- Able to use measuring devices (measuring tape, caliper).

Physical Requirements:- Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment in the manufacturing area, including safety glasses and safety shoes.
- Must be able to stand for the duration of the 10-hour shift.
- Occasional kneeling, pushing/pulling 21-100lbs, fingering/keyboarding.
- Frequent bending/stooping, squatting/crouching, reaching at both desk and above shoulder heights, lifting/carrying 21-50lbs, pushing/pulling 11-20lbs.
- Continuous lifting/carrying 0-20lbs, pushing/pulling 0-10lbs.
