Job summary

Fireworks AI seeks its first Data Analytics Engineer to support the product management team in San Mateo. You will define canonical metrics for user behavior, product performance, and financial measures, and extend the data model while building production pipelines.

You will collaborate with the data platform team to productionize metrics, socialize insights across teams and senior leaders, and operate autonomously to bring structure to complex questions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data science, product analytics, analytics engineering, or a combination.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar languages.
• Hands-on experience building or working on production data pipelines.
• Excellent communication with senior level stakeholders, technical and non-technical.
• Availability to work in the office in San Mateo 3x days per week.
• Experience defining, analyzing, and aligning business users on shared metrics.
• Experience analyzing performance of self-service developer-facing products.
• Background in AI infrastructure including inference, GPU-hour metering, attributing revenue to mixed model use.
• Demonstrated autonomy in an environment with open ended problems.

Responsibilities

• Define canonical metrics measuring user behavior, product performance, system performance, and financial measures.
• Extend and improve the data model and write pipelines to compute metrics.
• Partner with the data platform team to productionize metrics following engineering standards.
• Socialize metrics across teams and senior leaders.
• Work autonomously to bring structure to complex questions.
• Collaborate with product management to ensure metrics meet business needs.
