Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Holt, MI is seeking candidates for a hands-on role in cutting, sizing and assembling advanced composite materials, aircraft components, and metal parts. The position requires the ability to work with fiberglass, carbon fiber, Kevlar, and associated tools, with a focus on maintaining very tight tolerances.

Applicants should have a HS diploma or GED, experience in manufacturing or with A&P certification preferred, and basic computer skills.

What You Will Do

Cutting, sizing, and measuring state of the art composite materials in accordance with process sheet instructions. Disassembly and assembly of aircraft components. Manipulating state of the art materials by stretching and heating to secure material to form molds. Performing composite and metal fabrication as well as finishing work within extremely tight tolerances to achieve required quality requirements. Be a self-starter and possess integrity and professionalism at all times. Demonstrate excellence working in a team environment and have proven ability and willingness to learn new tasks as required. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Have basic computer skills. Be able to work any shift, including first, second, and the potential for third shift, as required by business need. 3rd Shift Hours are 10pm-6am.
