As a Production Mechanic 1, you will serve in an entry-level capacity focused on executing routine preventative maintenance tasks alongside fundamental mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic repairs. You will be responsible for upholding rigorous safety, quality, and production standards, ensuring all documentation is handled with precision and that maintenance schedules are strictly met.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a secure work environment by strictly adhering to all site-specific safety protocols.
• Ensure full compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures and Detailed Operating Procedures.
• Support accurate record-keeping by utilizing proper documentation practices for all maintenance and repair activities.
• Complete all assigned preventative maintenance tasks by their designated deadlines to ensure operational efficiency.
• Provide rapid response to internal service requests to minimize equipment downtime and support production needs.
• Notify senior mechanics, management, or engineering teams when complex equipment failures occur.
• Demonstrate initiative by proactively seeking out new learning opportunities or tasks once primary duties are finished.
• Maintain a tidy and orderly workspace in both production and shop areas following the completion of maintenance work.
• Contribute to the success of the facility by identifying and helping to execute Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Record repair history and equipment downtime to help the team track and resolve recurring technical issues.

Essential Qualifications

• Demonstrated practical experience in equipment fabrication or repair.
• Proficiency in mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting, including the use of diagnostic instruments like multimeters.
• Experience working with automated systems such as PLCs or robotic arms.
• Fundamental computer literacy in Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• A committed attitude toward mastering new systems, repair techniques, and software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
• Competency in interpreting electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics.
• Prior experience operating within an FDA-regulated setting.
• Foundational skills in SolidWorks.

Education

A high school diploma or GED is required, though a technical certification or degree is highly desirable.

Experience
