Job summary

PAFCO is seeking a Production Mechanic to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot equipment in a fish processing facility. You will perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and support operations to meet safety, quality, and efficiency goals.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Plant Manager.

Position Summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school certification preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment, preferably seafood or protein-related.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Able to work in cold, wet, and fast-paced environments.
• Basic computer skills for work orders and inventory systems.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Frequent exposure to cold and wet environments (refrigerated rooms).
• Physically demanding standing, bending, lifting to 50 lbs, and climbing ladders.
• Required to work weekend, evening, or holiday shifts depending on production needs.
