Role Overview

This is a execution-focused purchasing role supporting the client's Ohio manufacturing site. As the site's accounting and customer service functions are consolidated elsewhere, this role will retain and own the local purchasing function: entering and executing purchase orders, confirming delivery dates with vendors, and keeping related paperwork current. It is a straightforward, process-driven role rather than a strategic sourcing position.

Key Responsibilities

• PO Execution: Enter and process purchase orders in the system based on information provided by internal stakeholders.
• Vendor Follow-Up: Confirm delivery dates with vendors and track orders through to receipt.
• Documentation: Maintain and update purchasing-related paperwork and records.
• Site Support: Serve as the on-site purchasing point of contact for the Ohio facility.
• Required Experience: No specific years of experience required; this is considered an entry-level purchasing role.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail and organization; comfortable with data entry and follow-up-heavy work.
• Reporting: Reports to the site's Director of Composites initially; will transition to a newly created Purchasing/Sourcing Manager as that function is built out. This will be the first Production materials planner under that role.
