Job summary

Helena Industries (HI), a subsidiary of Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC, seeks a Purchasing Associate to support the plant operations team. You will review production schedules, manage material availability, and issue POs to vendors to meet production needs.

This role requires a high school diploma, 3 years in accounting/finance, and strong skills in math, communication, organization, and MS Office. You will maintain records, track orders, and provide excellent internal and external customer

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Three years of related work experience in accounting and finance.
• Mathematical aptitude.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational skills.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Valid U.S. driver's license required to drive a Helena vehicle.
• Ability to read, write and speak in English.
• Communicating in Spanish is a valuable skill at Helena.

Responsibilities

• Reviews plant production schedule to ensure raw materials and actives are available for production.
• Working knowledge of production planning and MRP applications.
• Issues purchase orders (PO's) to vendors for required materials.
• Tracks POs for production materials to ensure products are received in time to meet production needs.
• Verifies product is received according to schedule.
• Contacts customers for additional active ingredients and informs them of vendor issues with raw materials.
• Provides clerical and administrative support to the inventory management area.
• Maintains a clean work environment inside and outside the facility.
• May be required to drive a company vehicle.
• Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.
• Other work-related duties as assigned by leader.
• Reliable and regular attendance is expected.
