Job summary

Responsibilities

• Deliver raw materials, components, and supplies to welding and fabrication workstations.
• Monitor and anticipate material needs to avoid production interruptions.
• Stage materials for upcoming jobs based on production priorities.
• Move completed work and materials between production areas.
• Remove scrap and unnecessary materials to maintain clean work areas.
• Maintain organized material locations across the fabrication floor.
• Communicate shortages or issues to the Production Supervisor.
• Operate carts, pallet jacks, forklifts, and related equipment as trained.
• Support 5S, safety, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Overview:

The Production Material Coordinator (Water Spider) supports Graber's welders and fabricators by keeping materials, supplies, and work-in-process moving efficiently throughout the production floor.

The primary goal of this position is to reduce the time welders and fabricators spend walking away from their workstations to retrieve materials or move completed work,allowing them to stay focused on production.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver raw materials, components, hardware, and supplies to welding and fabrication workstations.
• Monitor production areas and anticipate material needs before they interrupt production.
• Stage materials for upcoming jobs based on production priorities.
• Move completed work and materials between production areas.
• Remove scrap, empty containers, and unnecessary materials from work areas.
• Maintain organized material locations throughout the fabrication area.
• Communicate material shortages, damaged materials, and other issues to the Production Supervisor.
• Operate carts, pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment as trained.
• Support 5S, safety, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull materials.
• Previous manufacturing, fabrication, warehouse, or material-handling experience preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.

The majority of work will be performed in a manufacturing facility with noise levels typical to that environment.
