Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC in Jackson, TN is seeking Production Manufacturing Technicians for the Dixie site to operate and maintain equipment, enter data, and troubleshoot processes in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. After 6–8 weeks of day-shift training, candidates may move to day or night shifts on a rotating 12-hour schedule.

Employees will support Printing, Packaging, and Plate Forming centers while upholding safety, quality, and efficiency goals and advancing within a world-class startup

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ year experience operating equipment in manufacturing/industrial settings or completed related program.
  • Experience maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
  • Experience using a computer and tablet/smartphone.

Responsibilities

  • Operate/maintain equipment to defined standards and product specs.
  • Monitor and enter data into technology devices.
  • Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production.
  • Perform basic asset care and routine preventative maintenance.
  • Work as a team to meet production, waste, quality, and safety goals.
  • Adhere to safety rules and wear safety equipment.
  • Support cross-functional areas across Printing, Packaging, Logistics and Plate Forming centers.
  • Demonstrate ownership and contribute to our culture of Principle Based Management.

Georgia Pacific is actively seeking Production Manufacturing Technicians to work in the Printing, Packaging, and Plate Forming Press technology centers at our Dixie® site in Jackson, TN. We are seeking individuals who are interested in being part of a world class startup.

Our Jackson Plant will be a 24/7 operations. This includes weekends, holidays, and overtime hours. Individuals need to have the ability to work all shifts to support ongoing activities and ensure efficient operations.

Work Hours: The department operates around the clock. After 6-8 weeks of training on the day shift, employees could be placed on a permanent day shift (5:30 AM-6:00 PM) or night shift (5:30 PM-6:00 AM) following a rotating 3-2-2, 12-hour schedule.

What You Will Do
  • Operate/maintain equipment to defined standards and product specification targets
  • Monitor and/or complete data entry into technology devices, i.e.; computer, tablet, etc.
  • Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production
  • Perform basic asset care duties to include routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of work area
  • Work as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment
  • Flow to the highest value work which may include working across Printing, Packaging, Logistics, and Plate Forming Press technology centers
  • Support leadership and team members in ways that are consistent with our culture of Principle Based Management™; Our Culture (kochcareers.com)
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience operating equipment in a manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, and/or military environment, or completion of post high school education in manufacturing/industrial centered program
  • Experience maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing equipment
  • Experience using a computer and tablet/smartphone
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Experience leading activities in a manufacturing environment
  • Three (3) or more years of experience using computerized machinery in a production environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Sharepoint, and Outlook
