Workforce Recruiter in New York seeks a Production Manager for Women’s Outerwear, Activewear and Sportwear. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage production calendars and ensure timely shipments with overseas partners.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of production/sourcing experience, garment costing expertise and strong factory negotiation skills. This is an office-based role requiring excellent organization and communication.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of production/sourcing experience.
• Experience working with Costco and its full process and procedures.
• Thorough garment costing knowledge with strong factory negotiation skills.
• Well organized, with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, planning, design, tech, fabric, and overseas vendors/offices.
• Lead the production team and adapt priorities to changing needs.
• Plan and approve production schedules and time-and-action milestones for each style.
• Monitor the Time and Action Calendar and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Communicate with overseas offices and internal departments to resolve delivery issues.
• Identify and implement efficiency improvements in the production department.
• Coordinate with internal departments and overseas offices, vendors and agents on logistics and calendar issues.
• Keep senior production leaders updated on quality and delivery risks.
• Communicate with all departments on issues that could affect production calendar.
• Partner with sales regarding delivery extensions as needed.
• Issue POs to vendors and factories and manage shortages/overages.
