Job description

Overview

The Production Manager in Training (PMT) will learn all aspects of manufacturing operations in a building components plant, with a strong emphasis on associate safety and the quality of structural wood components such as roof trusses, floor trusses, and wall panels for residential, multi-family, and agricultural construction.

Your career begins at the manufacturing plant closest to your home. Under the mentorship of the Plant Manager, you will follow your PMT training guide through a 9-12 month program that includes:

  1. On-the-job training
  2. Classroom instruction
  3. Leadership development courses
  4. Initiation of a Lean Green Belt program
  5. Additional training and continuous improvement projects
  6. Potential travel to other manufacturing locations for broader exposure, with travel arrangements handled by the company's Travel Department
  7. Relocation to a different facility upon program completion

Pay: $20/hr plus monthly incentives

Schedule: 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday
