Job description

We are seeking a Systems Production Manager to direct and coordinate production operations, ensuring quality, safety, and efficient production while collaborating with branch operations and sales teams.

Essential Functions
  • Provide leadership and daily guidance to ensure high levels of quality, productivity, and employee involvement.
  • Coach, develop, and motivate employees to meet or exceed business objectives and employee goals.
  • Collaborate with the Branch Operations Manager to share resources and ensure that customer requests are fulfilled on time and efficiently.
  • Ensure timely and appropriate communication with sales team members to support effective customer service performance.
  • Manage plant‑related quality issues (product/process related) to ensure proper error analysis and the application of solutions.
  • Work closely with Human Resources to interview and select new employees and acquire temporary employees.
  • Adhere to and enforce all company policies, procedures, and business ethics and ensure they are communicated and implemented by all employees.
  • Formulate plant strategy and annual goals and objectives that align with company direction and overall business goals.
  • Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and high‑quality standards for each production process and finished product.
  • Achieve or exceed key performance indicators for safety, quality, waste control, cost, and production.
  • Conduct visual inspections, basic troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and/or electrical problems on machinery.
  • Maintain machinery in good condition for best performance and highest efficiency through a basic preventive maintenance program.
  • Locate and engage local vendors to ensure proper high‑level maintenance of production machinery.
  • Operate all aspects of the plant in an efficient, cost‑effective manner, including waste management.
  • Oversee the production schedule to maximize production efficiency and fulfill customer work orders.
  • Track daily, monthly, and yearly production efficiency and optimize manufacturing KPIs and processes.
  • Maintain inventory by cycle counts and work with procurement to manage inventory levels.
  • Implement and monitor FIFO‑based inventory rotation for stocked materials.
  • Monitor new and existing orders to maintain correct inventory levels and communicate with sales to minimize slow‑turning products.
  • Oversee handling for all inbound shipments and scheduling of outbound shipments to minimize cost and meet customer requirements.
  • Support capital investment projects in teamwork with the central engineering team.
  • Provide plant information and support central teams during the budget process with branch‑related KPIs.
  • Provide required training and certifications for new and existing employees.
  • Conduct weekly/monthly H&S reviews on equipment, buildings, and organization.
Manufacturing / Operations
  • Lead the planning and execution of daily manufacturing activities to meet production targets.
  • Ensure product quality and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Optimize process flow to reduce waste and improve throughput.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement process enhancements.
Health & Safety

Overall responsible for creating a safe, healthy, and positive working environment for all employees, including required training, certifications, and regular safety reviews.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a management or manufacturing‑related field preferred or equivalent experience of 5+ years in production operations, warehousing, and managerial roles.
  • Basic understanding of accounting and financial statements.
  • Strong team‑oriented leadership style with aptitude for logistics.
  • Warehouse operations experience and knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of strategic business plans.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and prioritize.
  • Strong analytical, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Attention to detail, organization, and sense of urgency.
  • Moderate to strong computer skills (Microsoft Office).
Physical Demands

Requires regular walking, sitting, standing, pushing and pulling, squatting, lifting and reaching with hands and arms; occasional lifting or moving up to 50 pounds. Must work with hand and power tools, basic mechanics (electrical, mechanical, pneumatics), and operate a vehicle following all rules of the road.

Working Conditions

Moderate to loud noise level; dusty warehouse environment. Regular exposure to a fast‑paced environment with potential extreme temperature changes and dusty conditions.

Compensation

Salary range: $50,000.00 – $100,000.00. The actual base salary offered will vary based on relevant qualifications and experience.
