Job summary

Alberici Constructors is seeking a Production Manager to oversee shop production, ensure quality and documentation, and coordinate across project teams. The role supports adherence to code requirements and company policies while driving schedule attainment.

The ideal candidate has a construction/management background, relevant certifications, and willingness to travel for client and site meetings across North America.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent with related experience as described.
• OSHA 30 hour within 1 month of hiring.
• CWI/NACE levels 1–3 are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all shop production including material receiving, processing, fit/weld, blast/paint, loading, shipping, forklift, cranes.
• Monitors activities and equipment to ensure Code compliance.
• Adheres to Quality Control procedures per orientation and policy manuals.
• Collaborates with Quality Control Manager to determine repair methods for non-conforming work.
• Assigns and monitors work to ensure quality per fabrication schedule.
• Directs work assignments for all department production supervisors.
• Supervises completion of work according to project schedules.
• Coordinates between Project Management and Shop Supervisors.
• Participates in project kick-off, production and closeout meetings.
• Travels to Company offices, client sites, and supplier meetings across North America as needed.
• Maintains regular attendance as required.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Construction/Management/Engineering/Business

OSHA 30 hour certification

CWI and/or NACE Level 1, 2, or 3 (desired)

• Oversees all Shop Production including but not limited to material receiving & processing, fit/weld, blast & paint, loading, shipping, forklift, cranes, etc.
• Monitors activities and equipment to isolate and correct any work that is not within Code requirements.
• Understands all Quality Control procedures and principles as stated in the "New Employee Orientation Package" and the "Hillsdale Quality Policy Manual" and affirms the Company's commitment to this program.
• Works with the Quality Control Manager to determine the best methods of repairing work found not to be meeting Code requirements.
• Assigns and monitors work in appointed areas to assure that quality work is performed in accordance with the fabrication schedule.
• Directs work assignments for all department production supervisors.
• Supervises the completion of the work according to the project schedules.
• Coordinates between Project Management and Shop Supervisors.
• Participates in Project meetings, including, but not limited to kick-off meetings, production meetings and closeout meetings.
• Travels to Company and subsidiary offices; offsite client, subcontractor, and supplier meetings; and other locations across North America to fulfill the essential duties of the role as required.
• Exhibits regular and reliable attendance in person as required by the Supervisor, Company guidelines, and/or project and office obligations.

Management Responsibilities

• Manages and directs supervisory and non-supervisory administrative or union employees and is responsible for the overall direction and management of these employees.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education And Experience

Bachelor's degree in Construction, Management, Engineering or Business and/or 1-3 years' related experience and/or training; or Associates degree with 3-5 years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. OSHA 30 hour within 1 month of hiring. CWI and/or NACE Level 1, 2, or 3 desired.
