Job description

The Production Manager will be responsible for direct leadership of a team of operators to overseeing daily production operations, warehouse management, and logistics to ensure quality, efficient manufacturing, inventory control, and on-time shipping. They will also provide key leadership and support in planning and executing production strategies, optimizing work flows as well as overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations.

They will create safety-first culture promoting employee engagement and accountability in identifying and mitigating potential safety hazards.

They will also ensure compliance with ITAR/Export regulations and company policies while fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities

Production & Warehouse Operations

  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet output, quality, and efficiency targets.
  • Manage warehouse functions, including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules to align with customer orders and inventory requirements.
  • Implement best practices for warehouse organization, material handling, and space utilization.
  • Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring accurate and timely shipments.
  • Maintain compliance with ITAR/Export regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Identify and implement improvements in production efficiency, material flow, and inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure proper material traceability and documentation in collaboration with the Quality team.
  • Enforce adherence to SOPs, safety regulations, and operational policies
  • Work with Engineering/Maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and enhance reliability.
  • Lead and develop production and warehouse teams, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
  • Provide training and mentorship to ensure skill development and performance improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with Logistics/Procurement to ensure raw material availability and efficient scheduling.
  • Support Finance in cost management and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Work with Sales and Logistics to align production and shipping with customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Maintenance on equipment and facility needs.
  • Coordinate with Innovation for hand-off of new product process knowledge transfer and training.
