Job summary

ADM Animal Nutrition is seeking a Production Manager for our Sabetha, KS pet food production facility. This exempt role has overall responsibility for daily operations, across multiple shifts, ensuring compliance with policy, QA, FDA, EPA and OSHA regulations, and GMPs.

The successful candidate will lead production and maintenance personnel, drive safety initiatives, manage capital projects, maintain SOPs, and control production costs while planning annual productivity and quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 3–5 years of agricultural manufacturing, equipment maintenance and supervisory experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Self-motivated with good time management and prioritization abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily production on multiple shifts, ensuring policy and GMP compliance.
• Provide leadership, coaching and development for production and maintenance staff and Safety Coordinator.
• Oversee safety programs and training requirements to promote safe behavior.
• Execute approved capital and maintenance projects and update production SOPs.
• Manage production expenses (overtime, repairs, maintenance, supplies) and develop annual operation plans for productivity and automation.
