Job description

At Øuterkind, we strongly believe that building a culture for our team is paramount to our collective success and that of our clients, which is why we’re really excited about this opportunity for you to join us.

Øuterkind is a creative marketing and advertising agency based in Denver, CO. We’re on the hunt for an experienced Account Manager that will bring their talents, drive, and determination to our diverse team and client roster.

This position will be responsible for supporting a multi-dimensional activation plan for key experiential clients. The application of a creative consumer journey and strategic approaches, along with objectives measurement and content management, are core deliverables of this role. This position will support the greater account team on all client communications and therefore should be proficient in interpersonal communication, presentation, and client/project stewardship, ideally in the experiential space.

This person is a hustler; they strive to support, lead, and grow. They have a passion for experiences and as such, they are more strategic than they are tactical. They can work effectively as part of a team or as a lone wolf – flexibility is key – we offer a lot but expect the same.

More on the role below: Core Responsibilities:
  • First and foremost, assisting in developing a complete understanding of the client’s business.

  • Secondly, you are a valuable team member with a valuable voice. It is yours and everyone’s role to contribute to Øuterkind in the form of opinions, culture, and expression of our values.

  • Helping design and implement comprehensive experiential and production strategies for clients based on their marketing and business objectives.

  • Work closely with the account leadership in supporting and growing the client relationship while executing actionable and measurable plans.

  • Diligently track, aggregate, and analyze key program data against the pre-set measurement plan, including regular reporting of ROI, KPI, financial, and team performance.

  • Intimately and effectively manage project financials (budgets, cash flows, P&Ls, etc.).

  • Work as part of the clients’ creative, strategy, and finance teams to ensure brand consistency, effectiveness, and interest.

  • Lead, design, and execute experiential, content production, and program schedules.

  • Attend event activations to ensure that we’re delivering on the objectives set forth as part of the program plan (the ability to travel locally, nationally, and internationally is required).

  • Support communications with multiple client teams, orchestrating solutions that will meet all of their departmental goals as part of the program.

  • Build and maintain excellent internal, client, and partner relationships.

  • Attendance and support of all client meetings.

  • This role reports to the Account Supervisor and/or Director.

Qualifications:
  • 3–6 years of experience in an Account Manager role at an advertising or marketing agency.

  • Strong understanding and passion for the experiential and/or production industry and services.

  • Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of successful activation for clients.

  • Experience working in project management software and supporting account stewardship.

  • Strong and proven skills in managing financial documents (budgets, cash flows, P&Ls, etc.).

  • Solid understanding of culture and trends in the automotive, outdoors, action, and power sports.

  • Experience producing experiential elements such as giveaways, demos, show formats, and scripts.

  • Ability to work well independently and in small or large groups, as well as experience managing direct reports (Account Coordinators, Account Executives, Interns, Freelancers, Tour Staff).

  • The ability to multi-task efficiently and wear various hats to support various team/client needs.

  • Ability to travel when required, sometimes often and without much notice.

  • Excellent familiarization with standard computer applications (PowerPoint, Keynote, Excel, Outlook, Gmail, Slack, Basecamp/Asana, Zoom/Teams, etc.).

  • Ability to work remotely during travel and across time zones to accommodate diverse teams.

  • Ability to legally travel locally, nationally, and internationally.

Preferred Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Working Conditions:
  • Ideally located in Colorado (with easy access to Denver), but best-fit remote hires will be considered.

  • Travel for up to 15% of time is expected.
