Base pay range

$75,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

The American Thoracic Society (ATS) improves global health by advancing research, patient care, and public health in pulmonary disease, critical illness, and sleep disorders. Founded in 1905 to combat TB (Tuberculosis), the ATS has grown to tackle asthma, COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), lung cancer, sepsis, acute respiratory distress, and sleep apnea, among other diseases.

The Position:

Reporting directly to the Managing Director of Research of Awards and Assembly Programs, the Production Manager of Web Activities, oversees the operations and logistics of all Assembly, Section Web Committees and Assembly Interest Groups at ATS. This role includes managing all aspects of Journal Club activities, including content editing, Marketing, and posting online including weekly production of virtual events newsletter. Works in collaboration with the Communications Unit, the Production Manager will coordinate the quarterly Web Directors Forum. Additional responsibilities include managing logistics for various conferences, supporting proposal submissions, and handling vendor contract negotiations. The role also entails the production of annual Web statistical reporting, ensuring accurate and timely data reporting across all web-related activities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage, and execute virtual educational programs including journal clubs and webinars for medical professionals and trainees.
  • Coordinate online calendars, event logistics, and promotional efforts across email, newsletters, and web platforms.
  • Edit, synchronize, and upload multimedia content (audio/slides) for online distribution.
  • Develop and deliver training for staff and presenters on virtual meeting tools and presentation guidelines.
  • Track engagement metrics and generate regular reports to assess performance and recommend improvements.
  • Support web-based committees by organizing meetings, maintaining content schedules, and updating web pages.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure timely development and publication of digital content.
  • Oversee and maintain online resources such as educational case libraries and submission portals.
  • Provide technical and operational support for virtual case conferences and special topic series.
  • Participate in planning and logistics for annual professional conferences, including managing meetings and onsite support.
  • Miscellaneous tasks and duties for Assembly Programs.

Position Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a health-related office environment.
  • A critical thinker with strong work management, organization, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience planning virtual and in-person meetings/events is a plus.
  • Proficient in Zoom, Microsoft Suite (Word, Access, Excel, and Publisher), Salesforce (preferred), Cascade (preferred).
  • Ability to travel domestically ~7-14 days annually.

Physical requirements:

  • Please note that this is a hybrid position that will require you to come into our New York Office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week.
  • Some travel may be required, such as to our annual International Conference and Grover Conference.

  • You may experience repeated typing motions involving your wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • You may need to lift or carry up to 15 pounds of work equipment.

Pay Range: We are pleased to offer a range of $75-80k for this position.
