Production Manager II

Plascore is seeking a technical Production Manager II to direct and manage all plant operations with responsibilities for production, scheduling, maintenance and other production-related activities. The Production Manager II is responsible for the technical production, this may include multiple complicated processes including 5 axis CNC machining and value added operations to honeycomb core materials.



The ideal candidate will have had exposure in a multitude of areas such as: manufacturing, CNC-machining, forming, and leadership.



Key Responsibilities:


* Work closely with Scheduling and Production Supervisors to plan, schedule and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders, meet inventory requirements and deliver manufactured products in a timely fashion.

* Evaluate production results against established goals and look for ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operations.

* Maintain appropriate staffing levels and build effective work teams.

* Leverage ERP and data collection systems to monitor production data and inventory

* Coordinates maintenance, turnarounds, and downtime for efficiency and speed. Ensures that maintenance, turnarounds, and downtime for efficiency and speed. Ensures that staff training processes, equipment, and tool requirements are fulfilled to comply with health and safety regulations.

* Recognizes and solves problems affecting production including schedule, staff, quality and order of production line.

* Ensure production cost is effective.

* Responsible for product quality control for the plant.

* Collaborate with leadership to align production with organizational goals

* Have thorough knowledge of all manufacturing methods, techniques and related equipment.

* Must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications

* Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace, or make adjustments to facilities and equipment when necessary.

* Understand and practice team building and provide leadership to achieve outstanding results.

* Participate in improving our product, processes equipment and methods.

* Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.

* Continually look for ways to improve job efficiency and performance.

* Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned.



Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience in production operations or process management required

* 5 years of related experience desired, but high levels of managerial skills are more important

* Ability to thrive in fast-paced, cross-functional environments

* Leadership seminars and/or coursework

* Ability to read and interpret technical mechanical drawings and GD&T

* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

* Outstanding organizational and time management skills

* Proficient with implementing and maintaining 5S in a production environment

* Excellent technical communication skills

* Initiative for product/process improvement


Additional Requirements:

* Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic and Arms Regulations).
