  • Manage departmental communications with students, faculty, and external partners.
  • Attends production meetings and maintains records and documentation for productions and communications.

Job description

In support of the university's mission and objectives, the Production Manager for Theatre assists the Artistic Director, faculty, and staff with production implementation and other tasks for the theatre program.

Administrative & Faculty Support
  • Provides administrative support for theatre faculty, staff, and designers, ensuring smooth departmental operations.
  • Assists in managing and assigning student production teams, coordinating roles and responsibilities.
  • Aids in the creation of the annual production calendar and individual show schedules.
  • Attends all production meetings for Theatre Program productions, ensuring administrative coordination and follow-ups.
  • Maintains records and documentation related to productions, student assignments, and departmental communications.
  • Manages departmental communications with students, faculty, and external partners.
Theatre Production & Program Coordination
  • Creates and executes Theatre's annual calendar, including scheduling rehearsals, performances, and events.
  • Secures performance rights, guest artists, and vendor contracts in collaboration with the Artistic Director.
  • Coordinates logistics for rehearsals, performances, and outreach activities.
Marketing, Outreach & University Collaboration
  • Partners with PBA Advancement to develop promotional materials, marketing campaigns, and fundraising initiatives.
  • Tracks and analyzes audience attendance, ticket sales, and financial reports to assess program impact
  • Collaborates with various PBA departments, including Admissions, Marketing, and Student Life, to enhance theatre program visibility.
  • Assists in community outreach efforts, forming partnerships with schools, arts organizations, and donors.
  • Manages social media and publicity efforts for productions, ensuring engagement with audiences.
Qualifications
EDUCATION

Post high school training, required; Bachelor's degree, preferred, or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE

3+ years of experience in theatre production management or related field.
