Job summary

Volpi Foods, America’s oldest family-owned producer of hand-crafted Italian meats, seeks a Production Manager to lead their factory team. You’ll drive safety, quality, cost, and service KPIs while coordinating with scheduling and inventory to meet 92%+ attainment.

You’ll coach direct reports, implement continuous improvement, and own area processes from product to NPD initiatives. Qualified candidates bring 5+ years in manufacturing with at least 2 years supervisory experience, plus ERP and MS

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; 5+ years manufacturing or food industry experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience; team leadership.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; results-oriented.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Continuous improvement experience; Six Sigma/Lean a plus.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP a plus.

Responsibilities

• Achieves production goals and KPIs for safety, quality, cost, and service.
• Oversees Team Leader activities and ensures efficient performance.
• Executes Manufacturing Orders in the ERP system.
• Ensures FIFO for inventory consumption.
• Contributes to production scheduling; targets 92% schedule attainment.
• Provides coaching, training and development for direct reports.
• Drives safety, quality, efficiency and continuous improvement culture.
• Implements cost-reduction initiatives related to yields and labor.
• Manages NPD initiatives for areas.
• Facilitates area communication and process ownership.
