Snack Innovations Inc. seeks an experienced Production Manager to lead the three-shift operations at our Piscataway, NJ plant. You will drive performance, safety, quality, and efficiency across all production lines.

This role requires building structured teams, developing leaders, and delivering sustainable gains in a fast-moving, food-manufacturing environment, with strong cross-functional collaboration with Maintenance, Quality, Planning, and Warehouse.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in food production.
• Experience leading multiple shifts and supervising production staff.
• Proven ability to improve plant performance using KPIs and structured management.
• Strong knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, FSMA, sanitation and food safety.
• Ability to plan labor and resources and collaborate across departments.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and production reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Direct plant-wide production operations across three shifts.
• Coach and develop production supervisors to meet safety, quality and productivity goals.
• Own production KPIs including throughput, yield, waste, downtime, and labor efficiency.

Snack Innovations, the company behind Drizzilicious and other growing snack brands, is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead the entire production operation at one of our manufacturing plants in Piscataway, NJ.

This role is suited for a proven manufacturing leader who has owned production performance across multiple shifts, led through supervisors, and turned operational challenges into measurable improvements. Qualified candidates will know how to build structure, develop leaders, and deliver consistent results in a fast-moving food manufacturing environment, and this is an opportunity to make a significant impact.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Production Manager is accountable for production execution and performance across all three shifts at the assigned plant. The focus will extend beyond meeting the daily production schedule to strengthening the people, processes, and operating systems needed for sustainable performance as the business grows.

WHAT YOU'LL LEAD

• Direct plant-wide production operations across three shifts, ensuring alignment on priorities, standards, staffing, and execution.
• Lead, coach, and hold production supervisors accountable for safety, quality, productivity, labor performance, and results.
• Own production performance against schedules and KPIs, including throughput, yield, waste, downtime, labor efficiency, and attainment.
• Establish consistent shift handoffs, reporting, escalation processes, standard work, and clear expectations across the operation.
• Partner with Maintenance, Quality, Planning, Warehouse, and other departments to resolve constraints and keep production on track.
• Use production data, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement methods to eliminate recurring problems and increase efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, FSMA/FDA requirements, sanitation, allergen controls, safety procedures, and applicable customer standards.
• Develop a strong leadership bench and an accountable, engaged production workforce while supporting audits and operational growth.

WHAT YOU BRING

• 7+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in food production, including at least 5 years in a Production Manager role or equivalent plant-wide, multi-shift leadership responsibility.
• Demonstrated accountability for production across multiple shifts, including direct leadership of production supervisors—not solely responsibility for one shift or line.
• Experience improving plant performance through KPIs, structured management practices, and continuous improvement.
• Strong understanding of high-volume food manufacturing, GMPs, HACCP, FSMA, sanitation, allergen controls, and food safety systems.
• Ability to plan labor and production resources, solve complex operational problems, and collaborate across departments.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, production reporting tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency strongly preferred.
• Snack, bakery, cereal, extrusion, popped-snack, or related CPG manufacturing experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science, Operations, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent manufacturing leadership experience considered.
