About The Job

KeyBank's Community Development Lending and Investment (CDLI) team seeks an experienced community development professional to lead and support business growth. The Production Manager oversees a team of Production Analysts responsible for analyzing Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) equity investments and Community Development lending opportunities.

This role involves providing leadership to ensure consistent analysis processes, managing workflow, and collaborating on deal structuring, profitability, and risk analysis with various teams. The ideal candidate must have substantial LIHTC experience, including originating, underwriting, or managing related risks, and be committed to fostering an inclusive team culture through ongoing professional development.

Essential Job Functions
  • Oversee daily workflow and assign new opportunities.
  • Review deal projections, financial analysis, and preflight packages, advising on risk, structure, and profitability.
  • Coordinate with syndication and fund management teams to align deal structures with investor requirements.
  • Facilitate timely decision-making for new deals.
  • Support management of internal LIHTC equity and debt models.
  • Review LOIs and Term Sheets to ensure term alignment.
  • Advise on underwriting, deal structuring, and negotiations to maximize yield and manage risk.
  • Manage the quality of the business pipeline with stakeholders.
  • Lead, develop, and motivate the Production Analyst team.
  • Collaborate on process improvements for origination and underwriting efficiencies.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of LIHTC experience, with 5-7 years in underwriting or origination.
  • Broad understanding of LIHTC investments, tax-exempt bonds, and government housing programs.
  • Proven ability to drive origination or risk management processes.
  • Experience working with diverse deal types and clients, including government agencies and non-profits.
  • Disciplined sales process execution skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or equivalent experience preferred.

This position can be located in Cleveland, OH; St. Louis, MO; New York, NY; Seattle, WA; Overland Park, KS; Chicago, IL; or Denver, CO.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary ranges from $150,000 to $180,000, depending on location and experience. Additional incentives include short-term and deferred incentives based on performance. Benefits details are available here.

This role supports a Mobile or Home-based work environment, allowing flexibility based on role requirements.
