Job Description

Established children’s fashion apparel company in NYC, specializing in Knitwear and Denim, is seeking a Production Manager or Senior Production Coordinator to join their team. The role involves partnering with design, technical design, sourcing, and product development teams.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate with factories managing production, including research and development related to each brand, working closely with overseas factories.
  • Collaborate with design to manage style sample needs, order and track development samples from overseas.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to cost engineer garments and manage the product lifecycle from concept through pre-production.
  • Manage the production process with overseas factories, including fabric placement during development.
  • Implement and monitor WIP reports and seasonal time/action calendars to ensure timely delivery.
  • Track fabric development and trim orders using WIP reports.
  • Maintain daily communication with overseas suppliers regarding production details and costing.
  • Oversee product development packages sent to factories for sampling and approval.
  • Handle style setup and order management.
  • Review pre-production and top-of-production samples to ensure they meet all specifications.
  • Monitor seasonal timelines to ensure on-time deliveries.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Over 4 years of production experience in a wholesale apparel environment, specifically with children’s apparel.
  • Knowledge of fabrics including denim, knits, and woven materials.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with strong multi-tasking skills.
