About the Role & Team

At Disney Event Group – Creative Entertainment, We Create Magical Experiences! As the Production Manager, you will drive production processes and financial success of assigned Shows and Events from creation to completion using a strong, diversified background in project management. The Production Manager supports and maintains the production timeline and deliverables. You will also monitor project status, timelines, schedules, budgets, scope and meetings. The Production Manager supports the Producer in meeting all project goals while following company/departmental standards and policies.

This is a Casual Temporary/Seasonal role with no guarantee of weekly working hours, as hours will fluctuate based on business needs.

What You Will Do
  • Lead event production process and serve as the communication point for external and internal clients and stakeholders. Act as the interface for all other lines of business influenced by the project
  • Be accountable for direct interface with a Producer to fulfill project scope and deliverables
  • Partner with Disney Creative collaborators including: DEG Creative Team, DEG Creative Media, Disney Live Entertainment, Talent Booking, Music Production, Video Media Productions, and Disney Character Events
  • The Production Manager will provide guidance and Cast Member support to Production Assistants and Entertainment Managers on assigned projects
  • Collaborate with Event Sales and Service Leadership on projects from proposal to delivery & ensure production is on time and on budget
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • The ability to successfully process work with short notice in a dynamic project environment
  • Leadership and arbitration skills, including solving challenging situations, influencing abilities, continuous improvement process experience, and scheduling/labor management skills
  • Develop and manage project scopes, schedules and budgets by working collaboratively with creative and production teams
  • Ability to handle financial/accounting issues relative to area of responsibility
  • Establish and manage project communication plans
  • Work with a dynamic and diverse team
  • Proficiency using a computer and computer programs like Microsoft Suites (Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), SAP, R2, and ability to quickly learn new software applications
  • Demonstrated teamwork and partnering abilities, including office processes and work flows
  • Knowledge of Walt Disney World collective bargaining agreements, including AEA, AFM, IATSE and Service Trades Union contracts
  • Flexibility with work schedule, including work nights, holidays, weekends and extended hours
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years background combined in stage management, production or technical disciplines
  • Demonstrated Theme Park entertainment experience or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience of Event Entertainment Show Production and Entertainment Operations
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in entertainment production or related field or equivalent experience
