We are looking for an experienced leader who will be responsible overseeing the entire production process of radio programs, ensuring smooth operations, quality content, and compliance with broadcasting standards. This includes coordinating with various departments and ensuring all technical aspects of broadcasts are handled effectively.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees the entire production process of radio programs, from planning and content creation to recording, editing, and broadcasting.

  • Ensures all commercial copy and audio comply with FCC broadcasting regulations and station policies.

  • Collaborates with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and programming, to ensure successful implementation of campaigns and strategies.

  • Uses various broadcasting technologies such as soundboards and editing/production software.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications or other related field AND 4+ years of experience in radio production with management responsibilities OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proficient in using common workplace software platforms (Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, Slack, etc.). In addition to experience in using Adobe Audition audio production software.

  • Attention to detail in order to troubleshoot and prevent mistakes on audio distribution platforms.

  • Strong people skills working with management, talent, and clients.

  • A deep understanding of radio production techniques, including sound mixing, editing, and broadcasting technology.

  • Ability to lead and direct a team, communicate effectively with presenters and staff.

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, track deadlines, and ensure smooth operations.

  • A thorough understanding of broadcasting regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Proven ability to develop innovative ideas for programs and content along with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and address challenges that arise during production.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-production mixing and editing skills.

  • Advanced skills using Adobe Audition and knowledge of radio automation systems like Wide Orbit.

  • Ability to think creatively without being directed and to anticipate radio production needs and act proactively.
