Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, seeks a Production Manager for our Warren, MN plant to lead production and maintenance, drive a culture of safety, and meet delivery schedules and budgets. You will coordinate maintenance plans, improve processes, and develop leadership within the team.

The role requires 5+ years of manufacturing leadership, strong planning and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and change initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma with 5+ years leadership in an industrial setting.
  • Associate degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, Production or related field, or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years manufacturing supervisory experience or equivalent.
  • Strong ability to plan, allocate resources, and communicate across levels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead safety and continuous flow production methods with EH&S Manager and plant leadership.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, cost reductions, and asset utilization enhancements.
  • Develop leadership, succession, and team pipelines with the plant manager.
  • Manage daily/weekly production schedules and training programs.
  • Oversee plant layout for safety and efficiency; ensure inventory targets.
  • Coordinate preventive/predictive maintenance with maintenance team.
  • Ensure OSHA training compliance and participate in safety committees.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Production Manager is responsible for providing leadership and direction for overall production and maintenance operations in accordance with the vision and values of the corporation. The role fosters a "Culture of Safety" for staff and all employees by promoting and modeling an employee‑driven, hazard‑controlled environment. The manager will manage and coordinate the production plan (daily/weekly) to meet delivery schedules and budgeted cost/efficiency expectations, drive continuous improvement initiatives through appropriate channels in the operation, and with the Plant Manager coordinate and execute predictive/preventive maintenance plans through the maintenance management system. Asset reliability must meet or exceed performance expectations. The manager holds themselves and staff directly accountable for adherence to standards, policies and regulations for the safe, environmentally compliant production of a quality product, ensures training plans for production and maintenance staff are in place and followed, and promotes key aspects of the overall succession plan process. The manager will assist the plant manager with responsibilities as needed.

This position is based in our plant in Warren, MN.

Job Responsibilities
  • With direction from the EH&S Manager, help implement and maintain safety & continuous flow production methods with the plant manager and EH&S Manager.
  • With help from Plant Engineering and Plant Manager, actively seek out, find, and implement process improvements; including improvements on RM cost reduction, asset utilization, team balancing, automation, and matching team strategy to situation.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of leadership; assess team dynamics, prepare for change, promote & develop team pipeline with plant manager.
  • Responsible for daily/weekly production schedule.
  • Ensure proper training of employees with leads and systematic trainer to advance the business.
  • Responsible for plant layout, ensuring optimal safety and efficiency.
  • Utilize inventory management process (Production‑Purchasing Report) to ensure finished goods inventory meets targets for the business.
  • Ensure monthly OSHA compliance training is conducted according to schedule requirements with EH&S Coordinator and EH&S Area Manager.
  • Ensure safety committee is actively engaged in promoting awareness for safety programs/initiatives and driving improvement towards an employee‑driven, hazard‑controlled environment.
  • Responsible for overall preventative/predictive maintenance program for the facility with maintenance team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum high school diploma (or equivalent) with 5+ years leadership experience in an industrial environment leading multiple departments.
  • Associate degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, Production or related field, or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years demonstrated manufacturing supervisory experience or equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively plan and allocate resources.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record of developing, implementing and utilizing processes and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate resources to meet internal business objectives and customer expectations.
  • Thorough knowledge of effective and efficient production and manufacturing methods.
  • Thorough knowledge of company products, policies and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and project‑management skills.
  • Demonstrated successful application of managerial and supervisory skills.
  • Demonstrated skills or knowledge of budgeting and financial analysis skills.

Compensation
  • Base salary range of $85,000 - $95,000 per year.
