We are looking for an enterprising Production Manager who, with their clear vision and coaching leadership style, can elevate our production departments to a higher level.

What will you do?
- Leading & coordinating: You will manage the team leaders and supervisors of the preprocessing, welding, and assembly departments. Through your team, you are responsible for smooth production operations and results. You ensure optimal personnel planning and a safe and effective production environment.
- Operational excellence: You monitor safety, quality, production output, and productivity. When bottlenecks arise, you intervene quickly and effectively. You are continuously working on process improvements. This starts with further rolling out 5S and continues with optimizing production processes. You do this using your lean toolbox. You objectively check and analyze the current situation using KPIs.
- Strategy & innovation: You are part of the Operations Team and contribute ideas on how production can be improved in terms of organization and resources to achieve Stertil's goals. Once decisions are made, you translate them into goals on the shop floor and report them to the production team.
- Team development: Our organization revolves around people. Therefore, you actively work on training and developing your team members. You coach team leaders and operators on the job, conduct development discussions, and promote a culture that encourages improvement.You celebrate successes with your team.
- Projects & collaboration: You lead or support key projects, such as scaling up a production line or the introduction of a new product. In doing so, you work closely with the departments of Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Technical Service, and Sales.

What do you bring?
- A completed higher education or university degree in a technical field such as Mechanical Engineering, Technical Business Administration, supplemented with Lean/Six Sigma knowledge and experience. Completed leadership training is a plus.
- Experience with high mix/know volume production
- Good analytical skills, stress resilience, and decisiveness.
- Several years of experience in a similar leadership role in a comparable production environment, where welding and assembly take place. You have previously held responsibility for a production team and are familiar with factory dynamics.
- You are a coaching leader with excellent communication skills. You can motivate people, take initiative, and build trust.Thanks to your people skills, the team feels heard and motivated.
- You are tactically strong and have a hands-on mentality. You are visible on the work floor and easily approachable. You easily switch between strategic plans and assisting on the work floor to solve problems. "Helicopter view" is written all over you, without losing sight of detail.
- Passion for continuous improvement. Terms like OEE, 5S, FMEA, and KPIs are familiar to you, and you have experience in initiating efficiency and quality improvements. You are always looking for ways to make things even better.
